Impact

Our programs have been expanding rapidly in the past recent years and we have more expansion planned, particularly with In School Mindfulness Programs.  These programs would not be possible without the support of our donors.

In the 2017-2018 school year we were blessed to reach over 2,000 children and adolescents in schools and after school. New programs added were yoga and mindfulness in Kindergarten classes, along with Special Needs Classrooms.

We also extended the program in schools to teachers and para professionals.

Schools covered were:

Building 21

Central Elementary

Cleveland Elementary

Mckinley Elementary

Muhlenberg Elementary

Newcomer Academy

Roosevelt Elementary

Raub Middle

Washington Elementary

Union Terrace Elementary

Other programs were: Boys & Girls Club and Lehigh County Prison

In 2018-19 school year, we hope to enable more children and adolescents to have access to benefits of yoga and mindfulness.

Through this education, children learn self-regulation and focus skills. These skills are essential for them not only to do well in schools but also determine the long-term quality of their lives and the families and communities they live in.

Modern education is flawed in its approach of teaching bell to bell. We believe the children and adolescents (and adults) should be taught tools to process their emotions and thoughts, so that they are then able to make positive choices that will promote happiness and health.
